David Salim is a Barker Henley Global Affiliate Partner.
Currently serving as the Company Principal of Hetherington Sydney and Perth, David is actively engaged in a wide spectrum of matters for exploration and mining companies, ranging from small enterprises to large corporations, across Australia, the Pacific Region, North and South America.
Recognising tenure as a critical asset for exploration and mining companies, David specialises in providing expert advice on compliance, regulation, and management of exploration and mining tenure. His proven track record and extensive experience encompasses land access arrangements, landholder arbitration, and a comprehensive understanding of Native Title, the Right to Negotiate process, Aboriginal Land Council Land, and Aboriginal Sites, Places, and Objects.
David’s specialisation extends to providing VALMIN Code 2015 compliant Independent Tenement Reports, crucial for due diligence in acquiring or earning into exploration and mining assets. His reports have been utilised in the private sector for commercial due diligence and in compliance with public stock exchange prospectus listings. Moreover, David has previously completed Independent Tenement Reports for the Australian, Canadian, and Singapore Stock Exchanges.
In recent endeavours, David has played a key role in introducing, facilitating, and drafting joint venture agreements between various exploration and mining companies.
