Ganesh is a highly accomplished supply chain executive with extensive global experience, honed through his tenure with one of the world’s largest and most esteemed logistics companies. Recognized as a thought leader, Ganesh is deeply passionate about cultivating and nurturing high-performing teams that achieve business results through user-centric innovation, data-driven decision-making, and precise execution.
Demonstrating his core capabilities, Ganesh served as the Chief Global Network Officer with DP World in Dubai. In this pivotal role, he played a key part in generating non-containerized revenue streams amounting to US$1.2 billion in just five years. His achievements included seamlessly integrating the acquisitions of Common Feedering and the Unifeeder Group, leading to expansion and diversification opportunities.
In 2014, Ganesh assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director of the Europe & Russia Region, tasked with urgently addressing the commercial decline of the region’s coverage and financial performance. Implementing a sophisticated transformation agenda, he doubled throughput to 11 million TEUs, expanded revenue from US$500 million to US$1.2 billion, and tripled EBITDA to US$350 million in four years. Ganesh also spearheaded the turnaround of French Terminals, initiated five Inland Terminals, and successfully commercialized multiple European sites.
Subsequently, as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the ANZ region, Ganesh navigated the challenges of P&O Ports, addressing complex company structures, non-performing assets, industrial disruption, and low customer satisfaction. His outstanding success included negotiating new Collective Labour Agreements, divesting non-performing and non-core assets, implementing the first Automated ASC terminal in Brisbane, extending Terminal Agreements, and achieving an outstanding 21X EBITDA of more than AU$1.5 billion.
Complementing his professional journey, Ganesh has held board-level engagements with publicly traded and private transport companies. His focus on complex financial matters, acquisition/divestiture, risk, and corporate governance is evident through his roles as Chairman of numerous companies across Europe, the Indo Pacific, and Oceania. Ganesh has also served as a Director for over 50 entities bringing a wealth of expertise, leadership, and strategic insight to the global business arena.
