Shivendra Kundra is a Barker Henley Global Affiliate Partner.

With more than three decades of legal experience, Shivendra advises Indian and international businesses on corporate, commercial and regulatory matters, with particular expertise in cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, franchising and regulatory compliance.

Shivendra co-founded KBD Partners in 1997 and has played a key role in the firm’s growth. Earlier in his career, he worked as in-house counsel with Arthur Andersen, advising on cross-border corporate matters as well as intellectual property, indirect tax and telecommunications. He began his legal career in litigation before moving into corporate and commercial law.

Throughout his career, Shivendra has advised multinational corporations, private equity and venture capital funds as well as Indian businesses on transactions and investments across a range of industries. His experience includes cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, inbound and outbound investment, business transfers and franchising.

Shivendra brings a strong understanding of the legal and regulatory environment in India together with extensive experience supporting businesses operating across international markets. Through Barker Henley Global, he provides clients with valuable local insight and legal expertise when navigating commercial opportunities and regulatory requirements in India.

Shivendra holds degrees in Economics and Law from the University of Delhi and was admitted to the Indian Bar in 1991. He was awarded a British Chevening Scholarship in 1996 and has held leadership roles with the International Bar Association. He is also a frequent speaker at legal forums in India and internationally.
