Sunil is a distinguished lawyer with over three decades of experience. He is the visionary and co-founder of Barker Henley Global and laid the foundation for the company. Currently, he serves as the company’s Chairman. For the past twenty years, Sunil has ardently dedicated himself to the advancement of bilateral trade and investment in India and the broader Asian region. His seasoned expertise has garnered him profound recognition as a preeminent and sought after authority in the intricate landscape of international commerce.
Sunil’s profound legal acumen extends to the Australian Federal Parliamentary Committee, where he has significantly contributed, providing invaluable testimony on bilateral trade relations between Australia and India. Occupying the esteemed position of Patron at the Australia India Business and Trade Foundation, he plays a pivotal role in orchestrating and enhancing business connections between these two nations.
His influence has been instrumental and extends judiciously towards the facilitation of joint ventures, involving outbound and inbound investments in India and various other regional markets. Furthermore, Sunil has played a pivotal role in capital raising and provided strategic advice on financial, organisational, and commercial matters. Notably, he contributed to QANTAS recommencing their flights to Mumbai around 2004.
At the request of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Sunil has represented various delegations to China, where he has shared insights on matters such as corporate governance. His involvement extends to delegations to India on Globalisation, showcasing his expertise on the international stage.
A regular presenter on international business practices and intellectual property rights across diverse markets, Sunil is deeply committed to philanthropic activities in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
