Tony Shepherd AO is a globally recognised infrastructure and investment leader, with deep experience advising on complex, large-scale projects and capital-intensive sectors. At Barker Henley Global, he works with clients across government, institutional investment and industry to structure and deliver major infrastructure and strategic assets.

Over a career spanning both the public and private sectors, Tony has played a central role in shaping Australia’s modern infrastructure landscape. He has led and advised on landmark projects including the Sydney Harbour Tunnel, Melbourne CityLink and EastLink, and brings experience across the full investment lifecycle, from strategy and funding through to delivery and long-term asset performance.

His experience extends to board and advisory roles across infrastructure, energy and services, as well as senior leadership positions influencing national policy and investment frameworks. He has a strong track record of bringing together government, capital partners and operators to unlock complex projects and deliver outcomes at scale.

Tony’s appointment strengthens Barker Henley Global’s capability in infrastructure and strategic advisory, particularly in supporting clients navigating major investment decisions and project delivery in increasingly complex markets.

He was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2012 for distinguished service to business and commerce.
